This study was conducted to investigate the illness related worries in heart failure patients.Methods: In this descriptive, cross-sectional study, 130 patients with class II to IV heart failure were selected upon to researcher characteristics and in non randomized sampling from patients of Hazrate Rasoolakram, Imam Hossein and Shariati Hospital of Tehran in 2013. They completed demographic questionnaire and illness related worries questionnaire (IRWQ) and data were analyzed, using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 19.Results: Average age was 62± 13.9 year, 51.5% of them were illiterate and the average of their monthly income was less than one million toman per month (92.3 percent). The mean score of social dignity was 3.9± 1.1. The highest mean score were obtained for physical-psychological complications dimension and the lowest mean score, were obtained for worry about the future of the disease. ANOVA test revealed a significant difference in the mean of illness related worries in Patients, especially between physical-psychological complications and the future of the disease. Pearson statistic test showed significant correlation between age and illness related worries score and between disease severity and illness related worries score.Conclusion: The results should be useful for planning of patients support, improving their care and treatment. </Abstract></Article></ArticleSet>
